EMILY NINA ADAMS

Emily first performed at the young age of eight during a family holiday in Cornwall. In the final of the singing competition, against stiff competition, Adams performed, "The Sun Has Got His Hat On", to great applause. Having performed the Noel Gay and Ralph Butler 1932 classic, Adams rightfully won. The prize, a bottle of Champagne, remains at the family home in Cleveleys to this day.

Adams soon fell in love with all aspects of performance, and at the age of 11, auditioned for her first amateur dramatic production. Her talents were not unnoticed by the Thornton Cleveleys Youth Theatre audition panel, who promptly rewarded her efforts by assigning Adams with the lead role of "Annie " in Charles Strouse's ‘Annie’.

 

Entering her final year at sixth form, things started to look up for her singing career.  The Voice series 3 was about to begin, of which she had been pre-scouted for.  After attending 3 auditions before her first blind audition, she triumphed in convincing Ricky Wilson that she wasn’t going home without a turn, and secured a place on his team, singing “I’d Rather Go Blind”.  After being successful at the blinds, it was then The Battles.  She faced local girl Kelsey-Beth, and after a heated sing-off singing “Fighter”, Ricky chose Emily to represent him once more.  The Knockout round, 7 people left per team, was the penultimate round to the first live show.  Emily was successful for the final time on the show, securing her place in the live shows with the song “Slip”.  Emily sang “Happy” in the first live show but unfortunately got voted out by the public, losing to fellow teammate Chris Royal.  Emily did not let this faze her, and kept a strong mentality throughout.  This level of motivation attracted the attention of Mike Stock, originally Stock, Aitken and Waterman.

 

To further her career with Mike Stock, she moved from her hometown of Blackpool She is now signed to S4K Record Label, and is working hard to produce her first single.
